Mixed Species Fishing……..

David Clowes (above) from Wolverhampton was pleased to land his first ever Plaice weighing 12oz,so you can imagine how he felt when he landed his second Plaice which weighed 7Ib 8oz.He was over the moon with his big spotty catch. David was using 10Ib class tackle with a single hook trace with lots of attractor beads on and the successful bait was ragworm and a strip of Ammo squid.

Stephan Attwood (above) from Hampshire landed a 20Ib Cod while drifting a wreck aboard Flamer IV. Stephan was using 15Ib class tackle with a Portland rig and a rhubarb and custard sidewinder lure.

Tim Neal from Devon landed a Personal Best Plaice weighing 5Ib 10oz while drift fishing. Tim was using 8Ib class tackle with a flatty trace with many attractor beads. The successful bait was ragworm and squid strip. To Tim’s credit he put back the 5Ib 10oz Plaice alive to grow bigger.

Peter Gillett (above) from Ipswich landed a Personal Best Turbot weighing 15Ib while also drift fishing Peter was using 20Ib class tackle with a flowing trace with a 4/o hook baited with a strip of Ammo mackerel.

David Potts (above) was fishing in the Flamer IV Flatty league when he landed his Personal Best Turbot weighing 18Ib and the best specimen caught in the Flatty League so far this year. .David was well pleased with his big Turbot catch. He was using 20Ib class tackle with a flowing trace and a 4/0 hook baited with a strip of Ammo mackerel.
