Mark Tricker (above)from Kent landed his personal best plaice weighing 4lb while drift fishing. Mark was using 8lb class tackle with a short trace that had lots of attractor beads on and a vibro spoon. The successful bait was ragworm and a strip of ammo squid.
John Billett (above) from Frome,Somerset broke his personal best plaice record twice in two drifts. First John landed a credible plaice weighing 4lb 2oz a personal best only to top that on the next drift with a 5 pound fish. John was using 10lb class tackle with a two hook flatty trace that had lots of attractor beads on. The successful bait was rag and lugworm cocktail with a strip of ammo squid.
Bob Bloor (above) from Crewe landed a double shot of plaice which included a plaice weighing 5lb 2oz. Bob was using 10lb class tackle with a two hook flatty trace that had lots of coloured attractor beads on.
Steve Budden (below) from Hampshire landed a 22lb ling while drifting a wreck. Steve was using 15lb class tackle and the successful bait was two whole ammo calamari squid mounted on a pennel rig.
Finally Steve Potts (below) from Crewe landed a 16lb Pollack. Steve was using 15lb class tackle with a flying collar rig and the successful lure was a rhubarb and custard sidewinder.
