Great Mixed Fishing At Weymouth

Derek Inwood (above) from Somerset landed several Bass on a drifting trip aboard Flamer IV. His best fish weighed 7lb. Derek was using a Portland rig with a 6 foot trace and the successful lure was a rhubarb and custard sidewinder.

Jamie Watts (above) from Southampton landed his best plaice of the year. The plaice weighed 4Ib and took Jamie’s ragworm and squid striup bait. 

John Bickford (above) from Bristol landed a 7Ib 8oz Bass on a recent wrecking trip. John and his pals also landed several other bass and Pollack on a variety of lures. John was using a 15Ib class Ugly Stick rod. 

Bill Oliver (above) from Bridgewater also got among the fish landing several pollack and bass on a wrecking trip. Bill is pictured with his best pollack of the day.

Mark Turner (above) from Dorset landed several Black Bream on a two up, one down Wessex rig baited with small strips of Ammo squid. Mark is pictured with his best Bream of the trip which weighed 3Ib 2oz. Finally Les Whiteman from Sussex landed a 3Ib Black Bream aboard Flamer IV. Les was using a three hook paternoster rig baited with small strips of Ammo squid.
