A Flaming Start to June for Weymouth Chater Boat Flamer IV

Flamer IV Latest – Weymouth Boat Fishing

June has seen Flamer IV visiting some of the prolific wrecks surrounding Weymouth with great success. Phil Rogers from Bristol landed a personal best cod weighing 21ib while drifting a wreck. Phil was using 15ib class tackle with a flying collar rig and a large leadhead lure.

Phil Harrison also got amongst the cod including a personal best 18lb fish. Phil was using 15ib class tackle with a flying collar rig and the current favourite Rhubarb and Custard Sidewinder lure.

Away from the wrecks Chris Snyder made the trip across from Wales and caught two turbot on his first ever flatty trip. Chris was using 30ib class tackle with a flowing trace and the successful bait was a strip of ammo mackerel. Chris is pictured with the biggest of his two turbot which weighed 14lb 8oz.

Finally Derek Inwood landed his first ever brill weighing 5ib 20z while fishing on the drift.
