Maderia – Blue Marlin – Sorted

Maderia – Blue Marlin – Sorted

Between May & September some of the world’s largest Blue Marlin run through the Deep blue Atlantic waters that surround the Islands of Madeira. These giants have constantly inspired dozens if skippers & crew and thousands of anglers worldwide to come to
Madeira. There is perhaps no other place in the world that experiences such numbers of Blue Marlin at the upper end if the SIZE spectrum.

Besides the eternal quest for these Giant Blue Marlin,
Madeira offers fantastic sport fishing for other species such as "Big Eye" Tuna, White Marlin, Spearfish, Wahoo, Dorado, Swordfish, Shark, Snapper, Grouper & Amber Jack.

Away from the fishing there is an
Island of incredible natural beauty with lush green vegetation and cascading waterfalls, some of which fall directly into the sea from sea cliffs which are amongst the highest in the World.

Island also offers fantastic opportunities for Whale & Dolphin watching – scuba diving, snorkeling & sailing.

It was both the quality of fishing and island that inspired Howard Williams owner of Pembrokeshire Yachts and builder of the superb Pirate boat range to look for his own Big Game boat. After many months of searching Howard found his ideal boat "Sorted" a Luhrs Sporfisherman

Sorted was brought over from the USA in May, arriving in Neyland for a refurbish and was subsequently aimed 1500 miles south to the picturesque marina in Calheta, Madeira arriving on 21st June. On her first days fishing a giant Atlantic Blue Marlin of 700 pounds was caught. One of her early assignments was the prestigious ‘World Marlin Fishing Championships, on July 4th.

Sorted is fitted with twin Yammer 315 inboard diesels and is capable of 30knotts. She is rigged with the latest Penn rods and reels as well as the world famous ‘Black Bart’ game fishing lures.

The marlin season runs from May to September/October and prices vary dependant on time of year and number of days fishing. Apart from the marlin there are opportunities to catch white marlin, spearfish and later in the year Wahoo appear in both good numbers and size.

Howard can arrange everything that you will need to catch perhaps the "fish of a lifetime".
