Fishy Tales from the Emerald Isle –

Tackle Test…..JRC Cocoon 3-rod sleeve 12ft

Cocoon 3-rod sleeve

I picked up this very handy piece of kit from the luggage range at JRC. It is designed to carry three, fully made up rods and reels. It is extremely light-weight and the extensive padding will keep your rods fully protected in transit. One large side zip gives access to two compartments, with a further zipped centre compartment.

Trying it out with my Razors and big-pit Cardinals

I tried it out for size with my JRC Razors and big-pit Cardinals as seen in the photographs, and they easily fitted with room to spare. There are also additional outer pockets to facilitate bank-sticks, landing net and brolly. Once kitted out, this is an easily and comfortably carried item, perfect when I want to travel light with the pike or carp rods or over a short angling session.

All in with room to spare

I bought this item in particular for boat angling, dead-baiting for pike. It is not as bulky as standard rod-holdalls, and fits nicely on the boat when journeying down river looking for a bank-side mark to try. I will also use it on my Tench fishing adventures, travelling light across fields etc in search of new hot spots. All in all, a well-made and extremely useful addition to the tackle luggage.
