On the bank and in the water with Keith

Balanced Baits

I have been using the Red Crustacean from Berkeley Gulp in 20 mm size with great success over in France but I have found that I have got more fish on the bank by balancing my hook bait. I used a core drill and took out the centre of a 20 m bait and replace this with cork. This doesn’t create a pop up but will balance a bait so as when a fish is feeding about it with free offerings around it the hook bait will be sucked in to the fishes mouth first.

Also something else I have been doing is once I have put this cork infill in the bait I then soak them in the Red Crustacean dip, the longer the better it certainly put some fish on the bank for me. So why don’t you give it a try.
