My name is John Nicholas(or Nicho as I am more commonly known). As I work in the tackle trade I have been invited to join GULP! as a Key Opinion Leader, or KOL for short. I am obviously very grateful and extremely happy to be involved with promoting and using the products in the range, and I am looking forward to the future with them.
I have been carping for over 30 years. I have been lucky enough to fish some of the beautiful meres and lakes in Cheshire and Shropshire, many of which have a strict no publicity rule. Unfortunatly quite a number of the fish I have caught have come from such waters. Some big and dificult fish to catch, that mean so much to myself and many others who have been fortuate enough to have angled for them.
I will now be concentrating on waters which do not have this rule so I may use any pictures freely in the future.
Like so many of us I have a full time job and a family, so have to make the best of what time I have to go fishing. I enjoy stalking and on occasions take my split cane and centre pin out.
Quick ‘over nighters’ after work tend to be the most I can manage to do. In the warmer months I will often concentrate on stalking until just before dusk, set up some where for the night and then stalk again in the morning before leaving. Trying to take oppotunites if they present themselves.
I fish all year round and love carping just as much in the winter, as they look their best this time of year. I also find it very refreshing with quieter banks to fish from!
Well that’s me and I hope you enjoy, and find interest in my future blogs.
Once again, a big thank you to Berkley GULP!
Until next time, Tight Lines..
