A few weeks ago JRC/Berkley had an open day at Manor Farm Fishery Bedford for two days. The fishery was also celebrating the opening of the Mega Store tackle shops new bivvy barn which is very impressive.
The weather was very kind to us maybe too kind as all the members of team JRC/Berkley stayed over and fished. The fish were certainly showing due to the warm weather but not feeding!
On the Saturday we were showing our bait and bivvies’ off with two of our team in the new ...

Hi my name is ; I'm 20 years of age and help run Ebro Catfish Trips with my fiancé Lee Pollard. This is my first ever article I have wrote, which is really important to me as I have been lucky enough to catch a very special fish.
I have fished on the River Ebro in Spain several times for the cats but had never fished in England for them before. But then I had the opportunity to fish Oakwood park predator lakes in Norfolk.
We left our home in Gloucestershire and started th...

This video shows the Sebile Magic Swimmer® trailing off the end of a charter boat in deep water off Cabo San Lucas, Mexico suddenly being joined by a LIVE Sardine looking for companionship and mutual safety.
Note how the Sardine keeps up with the Magic Swimmer® and even nudges it a couple of times. As the live Sardine darts in and out, it’s a struggle to sometimes figure out which is the live bait and which is our Magic Swimmer®! If you’re looking for the most alive lookin...

Targeting Common Skate
Before choosing a rod for skate angling, some thought must also go into the venue chosen. Although it is possible to land a large fish in excess of one hundred and fifty pounds on thirty pounds class gear, this can be a little risky. I have broken several thirty-class rods over the years, when larger fish have been hooked.
Most skate landed are taken in at least two hundred feet of water, and usually much deeper. Combined with a fierce tidal flo...

My name is John Nicholas(or Nicho as I am more commonly known). As I work in the tackle trade I have been invited to join GULP! as a Key Opinion Leader, or KOL for short. I am obviously very grateful and extremely happy to be involved with promoting and using the products in the range, and I am looking forward to the future with them.
I have been carping for over 30 years. I have been lucky enough to fish some of the beautiful meres and lakes in Cheshire and Shropshire, ma...

Hello again, it's been a long time since my first blog from Crystal waters France. The fishing on my local water has been really slow with fish spawning at different times, apart from Eel's and they absolutely love Red Crustacean bottom bait. It seemed to be that there were so many of them the carp stayed off the bait. Following these earlier trips i had an invite to join Keith Standley on a trip to Horton Church .No fish caught on this trip but it still turned out to be a tr...

Red Crustacean Does the job with the Chub.......Richard Handel

At the moment I only get a limited amount of time to fish, (Monday evenings) due being overloaded with work. So I thought I would do a spot of chub fishing on the Hampshire Avon as the levels are up and was hoping the fish would be held up in the slack water.
I had a quick look on the Sunday afternoon as I knew the river was in flood still. It was so high the car park was under water and I needed my waders to get to the areas I was interested in. I ended up choosing no...

Well, there has been a lot written about Rainbow over the years, how big the fish are and how the lake is made up. Rainbow has a lot of islands and snags, including full grown trees in the lake and so many bars to fish to, so your gear must be up to the job.
I have fished all around the world for more than 30 years and Rainbow is like no other I have experienced. Over the years, I have tried all brands of lines and braids and put them to the test I found that the Berke...

TUNA & SPICE 30
I decided the GB Olympic team could manage without my armchair support For a few hours so I loaded up the car with my carp tackle & off I went to Suffolk Waterpark for a few hours. Bait for my last few sessions had been the Red Crustacean & although I'd had some success & caught a few (nothing big) I felt it was time for a change so on the advice of Steward Downing I got hold of a few Kilos of Tuna & Spice to try.
Peg chosen, Rods out, ke...
